This Kitchener Christmas market supports the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo-Wellington, a charitable organization devoted to providing advocacy, education, connections, and empowerment for individuals with acquired brain injury and their families in the Waterloo-Wellington region.
Although my epilepsy is most likely caused by genetic factors, brain injury was the first theory about its cause when I was a child. Moreover, someone very near and dear to me lives with a brain injury, and I can tell you, life is not easy for them. When I heard that a spot was still available at this Kitchener Christmas market, I had to jump at the opportunity.
The BIAWW Christmas Craft Market may be a little out of the way–it’s on Lancaster St. W. and you need to take an elevator to get there, but you’ll be supporting many people who live with or have healed from a brain injury. You’ll also be supporting an organization who helps people in this situation. My brain was technically never injured, but it acts like it has been. It’s not fun.
I’ll have all individual books from Between Worlds, which focuses on mental health through the generations, and Love on Belmont, which includes epilepsy awareness. Come out to this Kitchener Christmas market if you can!
We’ll be in suite 205, and there is an elevator to reach us.
